Founded in 1944, The Newburyport Horticultural Society, Inc., a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity under the Internal Revenue Code, is a friendly group of garden lovers who meet once a month to share ideas and enjoy informative programs related to horticulture. Members often organize small group Field Trips to visit area gardens in the summer. We host a Members Garden Tour in June and a Harvest dinner in September. The Newburyport Horticultural Society welcomes new members. Annual dues are $35. The year is from January 1 to December 31. As our member activities are heavily subsidized by our fundraising efforts, we do not prorate our Annual Dues if members join after January 1st of each year. Visiting guests are welcome to attend the meetings that are open to the public for a fee of $10 per meeting. At the conclusion of a meeting, the guest is welcome to apply the $10 visitor fee to the Annual membership fee of $35. Membership applications can be found on our website.
