Zach Field Drums & Music

At Zach Field Drums & Music, we see music as a pathway to a wider, more fulfilling world — one where our students form lasting relationships with their teachers and peers, and where music drives personal growth and discovery. Now offering two sites where students can learn and grow, we look forward to helping the next generation of musicians find what drives them. For 20 years, Zach Field Drum Studios and The Musical Suite have provided the highest standard of music education on the North Shore. Since combining our practices into one entity, we’ve been proud to offer a full range of music opportunities and artistic outlets for students looking to express themselves creatively. The Drum Studio provides a safe, fun place for drummers to hone their craft. Featuring five drum set rooms and an ensemble room, the Drum Studio can accommodate percussionists of all ages and skill levels. At the Music Studio, students of all ages and abilities can explore their musical talents and develop a life-long appreciation of music. With a talented team of teachers selected for their outstanding musical talent and devotion to teaching, the music studio helps students gain a sense of accomplishment, understanding and self-confidence they can carry through the rest of their life. A New Beginning in Amesbury Everyone should have the opportunity to discover the joy of playing music. That’s why in 2019, we opened our Amesbury site, so students can more easily enjoy all Zach Field Drums & Music has to offer. Located in the historic Trades Mill, which dates back to 1855, ZFDM Amesbury will give students across the North Shore access to our suite of music offerings* with four drum set rooms, five music rooms and the addition of the radically new Drum Room classes — only available at our Amesbury site. Come and experience what ZFDM Amesbury has to offer!

Classes

Our talented teachers develop specially curated lesson plans for each musician, delivering a well-rounded musical education for all ages and levels. Teachers connect with students and families to learn exactly how to help them discover the musician inside. Drums/percussion: Students learn rudiments, snare drum pieces, reading exercises, melodic percussion studies, improvisation, funk/rock/jazz/Latin studies as well as whatever music the student is interested in. All other instruments: From brass and woodwinds to strings and vocals, students can learn whatever instrument they’re interested in, discovering the musician inside by studying the music style of their choosing.
