Take a Class!

NACE offers over 200 classes each year including arts and crafts, dancing, cooking, financial planning, languages, writing, music, home and garden activities, outdoor skills and adventures, health, mind and body strengthening-- and more! Classes are for all ages and most are available to teens 15 years and older.

Ryan not only creates incredible works of wire art, he also teaches others to follow their own passions and create as well. Teaching classes for artists of all ages, Ryan has offered lessons to local schools and art classes along with adult classes at local venues and breweries. With private lessons available as well, Ryan is dedicated to sharing his wealth of knowledge with fellow artists and aspiring creators.

The Newburyport Public Library offers a variety of free programs for adults, teens and children, ranging from yoga, to crafts and literary topics.

At NYS, we provide year-round recreational programming to annually engage over 2,000 young people of all ages, backgrounds, interests, and abilities in a safe environment. Youth are encouraged to explore new topics and skills, step out of their comfort zones, and connect with others. Programs are designed to introduce young people to a variety of activities throughout the year, as well have opportunities to try new things, without long-term commitments. Knowing that when young people have interests that they are passionate about they are more likely to create constructive goals and make healthier life choices, NYS engages youth right from the beginning, offering programming for ages 0-18 years. Partnering with local businesses and community members enables NYS to offer expansive and diverse, age-appropriate programming including: Infant through pre-school activities such as morning music classes, open gym, “Dads and Donuts,” and Saturday morning learn-to-play sports classes; Arts, cooking, nature, creative, games, and STEM-based activities; team and individual sports, special outings, for school-age youth; Certification classes, such as CPR, babysitting, and boating safety, and trips for older teens; Free community events for all ages that allow families to explore, interact, and create special experiences and traditions: “Get Hooked” Fishing Tournament, Touch-a-Truck, Winter Kite Festival, Young Artists Craft Fair, NYS BBQ and Campout, and Cardboard Boat Regatta

The Newburyport Art Association is dedicated to providing quality art education programs for students of all ages and levels across a wide range of media taught by professional artists and educators through lectures, workshops, art classes, and exhibitions.
